When you download and use the Application, it may collect your device IP address; screens viewed and visit timestamps; time spent in the Application; mobile operating system; technical device and session identifiers; product-usage analytics and events; and crash or diagnostic reports.
When you create an account or use Application features, the Service Provider may also collect your email address (through Sign in with Apple), user ID, name and profile photo, profile information (age, sex, height, weight and nutrition goals), food history (meals, calories and macros), meal photos submitted for analysis, Apple Health data if you consent (such as active calories burned), and Premium subscription information.
This information is used to provide and improve the Service, analyse meal photos and estimate nutrition, personalise your experience and calculate goals, manage your account and subscription, provide support, measure usage and fix bugs, and comply with legal obligations.
The Application or third-party SDKs may use cookies, SDKs, pixels and similar technologies for functionality, analytics or service delivery. Countr does not track users for cross-app advertising and does not request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission. Where required by law, consent will be obtained before non-essential tracking technologies are used.
You may request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal data, or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, by contacting [email protected]. You can also delete your account in the app: Profile → Delete my account.
California residents may have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, opt out of sale or sharing, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Countr does not sell your personal data. Contact [email protected] to exercise applicable rights.
Information may be used to send important service information, required notifications (including meal reminders if enabled), and marketing communications where permitted by law and with consent. Information is retained and used in accordance with this Policy.
Information may be shared with trusted service providers acting on the Service Provider's behalf, who may not independently use the information and must respect this Policy. Only aggregated and anonymised data may be periodically shared with external services to help improve the Application. Information may also be disclosed where required by law, to protect rights or safety, investigate fraud, respond to authorities, or as otherwise described in this Policy.
The Service Provider or its vendors may transfer personal data outside your country of residence, including outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where required, appropriate safeguards may include European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions or other legally recognised transfer mechanisms, and consent where required and permitted. Data-protection laws may differ between countries.
